QUESTION: Do animals have souls?

Animals do not have souls. However, those animals that have been associated with humans for a long time have, in many cases, made the evolutionary leap and developed a spirit that survives past the body. God has accepted those spirits as helpers in our battle with evil. These animal spirits cannot fight evil directly but can and often do provide needed support to those souls that they connect with. These spirits often develop deep connections to a soul. Have you ever noticed how a new pet will suddenly start to do tricks and have behavior just like your long dead beloved pet?
